Aleksandra Trzeciak -

Aleksandra Trzeciak

Having left Poland to shake off the fumes of political victimisation and messianism, Aleksandra studied Political Science and International Relations at Cambridge University in the UK. Her highly romanticised understanding of the world caused her to develop an academic interest in the Middle East, Russia, and identity politics, a fondness for pretentious words coupled with a fascination with travel journalism and an unfortunate tendency to get lost in every city she's ever visited.

Cankat Ozkan -

Cankat Ozkan

Cankat was born in Turkey. He studied English Literature and Conference Interpreting. Before coming to the College, he worked as a conference interpreter, which left him with a permanent brain damage. His hobbies include drinking coffee, not running, and ranting about stuff that makes him angry. A lot of things make him angry. For example, worldwide poverty. And misplaced socks. He thinks it is important to have at least one existential crisis a day.

Craig Entwistle -

Craig Entwistle

Craig studied Economics and Philosophy in the United Kingdom. After undergraduate he enjoyed brief sojourns in Russia, France, Belgium for “language learning” and “internships” (see also: beer). Likes: dogs, new-wave music, collecting second-hand books. Dislikes: Brexit jokes and exiting Unions. There’s no end to his skills… or a beginning either.

David Lodder -

David Lodder

David was born multiple meters under sea level and always dreamed of finding dry land. Combined with his love for craft beer and cheap prices this lead to study periods in Krakow, Prague, London and Budapest before accepting defeat and returning to The Hague to fulfill his dreams at the Representation of the European Commission. Now a cynical bureaucrat he tries to debunk populist ideas and obstruct the misuse of referendums.

Francesco Tamburini -

Francesco Tamburini

Francesco studied Foreign Languages (Ca’ Foscari) and International Relations (LUISS). Due to his unwise choice to study Russian language, culture and history, he was also exchange student in Astrakhan and in Moscow, as well as working in the Italian Embassy in Minsk. He came to the College to heal relations between Europe and Russia, and sees the Natolin blog as a useful mean to strengthen the cultural hegemony of his project.

She also holds a Master’s degree in European affairs. She is notably interested in cultural cooperation.

Simone Benazzo -

Simone Benazzo

Simone holds a Bachelor in Communication (Bologna) and a Master of Arts in International Relations (Turin). He is chief editor for East Journal. Once his girlfriend got very worried: he had not pronounced the terms “gender”, “Balkans”, “power”, “identity” before dinner. He has been loving many books, women, ideas, beers, but only a few of them knew that. He wakes up every morning to set up the revolution, then he runs out of coffee. He suffers from many addictions, but he is going to give up from tomorrow.

Valentin Luntumbue

Valentin is Brussels-born, having absorbed the cosmopolitanism of the zinneke spirit in his childhood. He studied History, Sociology, Political Science and IR in his home city, Madrid and Saint-Petersburg, and has worked in Brussels, Kyiv, and Barcelona. He's an incorrigibly restless traveler, a misunderstood art critic, a procrastinative writer, and an accomplished fine beer connaisseur. He also likes cats.
